EKCC Opening Season: “Little Murmur” by Aakash Odedra Company (UK)
A Dance From The Heart That Strikes A Chord Within
Diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, award-winning British dancer-choreographer Aakash Odedra found school challenging—misspelling his own name even at 21. Too often defined by his learning difficulties rather than his abilities, he discovered dance as his true means of expression. Watch bodies and words fly like flocks of birds, a murmuration, a little murmur.
In Little Murmur, Odedra teams up with Lewis Major and draws upon his childhood experiences to create this intimate solo dance theatre. Featuring dynamic projections and unique soundscape, this captivating work blends innovative visual design and technology with dance and humour, offering a heartfelt portrait of self-discovery. A stunning visual treat for young audiences and spellbinding for all ages.
